Once you are in Cómpeta:

Follow the road into Cómpeta Village to where the road splits (Tourist Office on the right) take the road immediately right up the hill, carry on straight through the middle of Cómpeta past a car park on your left until you reach a T junction (estate agents on the left and steep ramp to the right).

Take the road to the left, after 100 yards road splits(do not take the road down ahead of you or the road which is sharp to the right, take the one in the middle that goes uphill).

Follow the road up past the school (on the right) the road then bends left and goes past the Hotel Balcon and a little chapel.

The roads then bends sharply right after 20 yds there is a sharp left turn signposted ‘carril de circunvalacion’ take this.

Then follow this road around and up until you see a 100 yard 6 foot high yellow wall on the right with Villa Andalucía in tiles at the far end, there is a sharp right turn at the end bringing you to 2 drives please take the lower one and park at the bottom.

From Málaga Airport

From the airport you have two options to get to the main bus station (María Zambrana Station) where you then catch the bus to Cómpeta.

Here is the TIMETABLE for buses from Málaga bus station with effect from 12th May 2023.

Both options are within easy walking distance from the arrivals entrance, the metro is by far the cheapest and quickest.

By Bus

You need to look for Line A Express bus which goes into Málaga City centre and stops at the main bus station.  They run about  every 15 to 25 minutes until Midnight, unfortunately the last bus to Cómpeta from Málaga is 18.30 there are only three buses a day to Cómpeta (see the timetable above).

The price is 3€ and it is 6 stops on the bus (10 to the city centre) and can take between 15-25 minutes depending on the traffic.

By Metro

You can catch the C1 Line which goes to the María Zambrana Station, this is the name of the stop you need to get off at which is adjacent to the Bus terminus (a two minute walk).

The Metro runs every 20 minutes and only takes 8 minutes  less than 2€ during Summer 2022 .

The Cómpeta bus

The bus usually leaves Bay 7 at the Bus Terminus approximately 5€. (This might have gone up since Summer 2022) You can pay the bus driver. The coaches are comfortable and air-conditioned.

There is only one bus stop in Cómpeta at the entrance to the village, opposite the Tourist Office, this is where you get on and off the bus.

When the bus leaves Sayalonga the next stop is Cómpeta.

It will take about 20 minutes to walk to Villa Andalucía, unfortunately it is all uphill, I can arrange a taxi for you for 5€. It is less than 5 minutes in a taxi.

From Granada Airport

From the airport you have two options, you can go via Nerja or Málaga and then onto Cómpeta. The only option is by bus there are no trains.

I suggest a taxi from the airport to Granada bus station, and from here you can either catch a bus to Malaga or Nerja.

Buses to Malaga run every hour from 07:00 to 21:00 and they normally take 1 hr 45mins depending on which bus, price 11.83€.

Buses to Nerja run between 07:00 to 20:00 but not every hour. The bus normally takes 2-2.45 hrs depending on the bus, price 11.14€. From Nerja we can arrange transport to Villa Andalucia.

You can check specific route times and book online from RESERBUS if traveling from Granada.

From elsewhere in Spain by train

You can use the The Train Line website to see train times and prices from anywhere in Spain to Málaga, María Zambrano station where you can then catch the bus to Cómpeta.
