Cómpeta Walking Festival 2021

Where does it take place and when?

This year the festival is taking place between 23rd and 26th September

The price to enter is only €20 per person for all four days.

The levels of the walks are easy, easy+, to intermediate. Something for beginners to experienced walkers.

The intermediate walks are usually between 6-8 hours and the easy walks between 3-4 hours More information can be found below regarding which walk and length of the walk.

The start and finishing points are either the Hotel Balcón de Cómpeta or the tourist office. On the last day there is a buffet at the hotel and a presentation of medals. This is an additional cost of 14€.

Do you like walking?

If your answer is yes, you will not want to miss out!

Cómpeta is a fantastic place to visit if you like walking, we are on the edge of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park, in the Axarquía region of Malaga.

There are plenty of routes for you to enjoy in this area.

The Cómpeta Walking festival has been taking place for eight years and is well organised by Yoast Sheppel who has lived here for many many years.

Why not take a staycation if you are living in Andalucía, or from further afield in Spain. It is not too late for you to book a flight and spend longer than a few days. And come and stay at Villa Andalucía.

For those of you who know Competa will know what a great walking area it is and we are only a few minutes away from the hotel where some of the walks begin, and less than 15 minutes to the tourist office.

Several guests who have taken part in the festival in the past enjoyed the walks and were thankful to be able to come back to Villa Andalucía and relax in the pool and relax their aching bodies. At this time of the year, the crystal-clear pool is still at a refreshing temperature, and nice to be able to chill out on one of the sunbeds.

I do still have some availability for these dates, here you can check out which ROOMS are still free. I can arrange light breakfasts for you and also packed lunches to take with you
